Rugby Road Parking

Hello Rob,
Rather odd one this, need your advice. I regularly park my car at the north end of Rugby Road, a nice quiet street with no restrictions and often a few spaces to choose from. Returning to my car today I found a note under the windscreen wiper, written in print it said "How about buying a parking permit in your own street? It's only £2 a week" my first reaction was one of**er as I pay road tax and am therefore entitled to park where I bloody well like and just because you live on a road doesn't mean you own it. Then I felt kinda creeped out as if I was being watched and indeed had some one been watching me come and go. There didn't seam any other ca**ingled out. On reflection as I write I can sort of see the annoyance of not finding a parking space near ones home but in a town like Brighton don't most of us learn to live with it, like dog mess (don't get me started). so do you have any advice, should I carry on or do you think my car is at risk and this was a warning. Am I getting a little paranoid?
